Explore Brookhaven Earns Prestigious Industry Recognitions And Leadership Role

BROOKHAVEN, GEORGIA--JULY 2025--Explore Brookhaven is proud to announce a series of distinguished achievements that affirm the organization’s ongoing excellence and leadership in the destination marketing field. These accolades follow the recent 2025 Destinations International Annual Convention, July 9-11, in Chicago, where industry leaders gathered to set the future course for destination marketing.

Explore Brookhaven has successfully achieved its 2025 Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) status through Destinations International. This global accreditation assures stakeholders that the organization meets rigorous industry standards in governance, finance, destination development, innovation and advocacy.

Further demonstrating leadership in the profession, Explore Brookhaven President & CEO Renée Areng has been reappointed to the 2025-2026 Destinations International Board of Trustees.

Additionally, Explore Brookhaven has once again earned recognition as a Gold-Level Benchmark of Excellence Convention and Visitors Bureau from the Georgia Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus (GACVB). The award, valid through August 1, 2028, signifies the organization's commitment to industry best practices, professional development and strategic planning.
