Juneteenth Celebration

The City of Brookhaven is proud to partner with the City of Sandy Springs and the City of Dunwoody to host the 2025 Juneteenth Celebration—a vibrant, family-friendly event honoring freedom, culture, and community.

Event Highlights:

Outdoor Celebration (City Green, 5–8 p.m.)
– Food trucks, music, games, and kids’ activities
– Juneteenth scavenger hunt
– Genealogy exhibit with Family Search & AAHGS
– West African drum circle with Djoli Kelen
– Arts & crafts and live entertainment

STEAM Digital Art Exhibit (Byers Lobby, 5–8 p.m.)
– Augmented reality artwork by local students, curated by artist PeQue through LIQUID Arts & Productions

Theatre Performance: “IMANI” (Byers Theatre, 5:30 p.m.)
– A powerful dance and spoken word production by Namari Dance Center, honoring the journey from bondage to freedom
